The Detroit Tigers and pitcher Matt Moore have agreed on a one year deal for $2-3 million, per Jeff Passan on Twitter.
Moore, of course, spent the 2018 season pitching very poorly for the Texas Rangers after the Rangers acquired him and international draft pool money last winter from the San Francisco Giants for Sam Wolff and Israel Cruz, in what was basically a salary dump for the Giants. Moore, a former top prospect with the Tampa Bay Rays who the Rangers had had interest in for years, was coming off a poor 2017 campaign and was considered a reclamation project for the Rangers.
