Martinez thrilled to meet Dodgers' Scully

Martinez and Scully both attended Fordham University. Scully went to Fordham after World War II, before becoming a broadcaster for the Dodgers in 1950. He is now in his 66th season as a broadcaster.

"It was amazing," Martinez said. "Surely cool. He is a legend, a living legend. He has been around the game so long and is such a nice person, having been from Fordham makes it even cooler to have that connection. There is so much baseball history there, it was an amazing experience. It was pretty awesome."

Martinez played three years for Fordham before being drafted by the Rangers in the 18th round of the 2011 Draft.
