ANAHEIM -- Nick Martinez threw six scoreless innings on Sunday and set a new club record for lowest ERA for the month of April. After four starts, Martinez has a 0.35 and his next start won't be until be until May.
He just didn't come away with a victory. Martinez was done when the Rangers finally put this one away with a 5-4 victory in 11 innings. It's still the third time in four starts that Martinez did not allow an earned run.
"Tremendous job by Nick," manager Jeff Banister said. "He pitched well enough today.
