ARLINGTON -- Rangers center fielder Leonys Martin was back in the lineup Saturday against the Indians after missing the previous four games after aggravating a left wrist injury.
Martin got jammed on an inside pitch Monday against Kansas City, causing the sprained wrist injury he suffered May 4 against the Astros to flare up. Before Saturday, he had played in only four of the past 11 games, but said Friday he felt good and ready to play.
Martin wasn't in Friday's lineup as manager Jeff Banister said he wanted to give him an extra day and also get a chance to play Kyle Blanks in left field while Delino DeShields continued to hold down Martin's spot in center.
