ARLINGTON -- Adrian Beltre said Thursday that he has a Grade 2 hamstring strain, but the Texas Rangers are holding off on a decision to put him on the disabled list for the third time this season.
Beltre has been on the DL twice this season because of the same level of hamstring injury. He has been on the disabled list four times in the last two seasons, three times because of the hamstring condition.
"Physically, I don't feel that bad,'' Beltre said. "We're going to wait a couple days, to make a decision on that."
Beltre acknowledged the series of injuries over the last two seasons is taking a toll on his psyche and could figure in his decision on returning next season at age 40.
