Righthanded pitcher Kyle Cody has been added to the Texas Rangers’ 60 man player pool, the team announced today. As the Rangers are below the 60 man limit, no move was necessary to clear a spot for Cody.
Cody, who turns 26 next month, was a 6th round draft pick in 2016 as a senior out of the University of Kentucky. He had a breakout 2017 campaign that saw him put up a 2.64 ERA in 126 IP between low-A and high-A, but then missed most of 2018 and all of 2019 due to Tommy John surgery to repair a damaged UCL.
