Atlanta Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar has been suspended for 80 games due to a positive PED test, per reports.
This is just the latest twist in what has been a very strange career for Profar. Originally signed by the Texas Rangers out of Curacao, for whom he had starred in the Little League World Series, Profar was a consensus top 2-3 prospect in baseball prior to both 2012 and 2013. He made it to the majors with Texas in 2012 as a 19 year old and homered in his first plate appearance, ultimately appearing in nine games that year.
