Baseball America has their top 10 list for the league formerly known as the Pacific Coast League, now known as AAA West, out today, and the Rangers placed one of their top prospects on the list.
Josh Jung, the Texas Rangers’ 2019 first round draft pick and likely 2022 Opening Day third baseman, placed #4 on the BA list despite not joining Round Rock until mid-August. Jung slashed .348/.436/.652 in his stint at AAA, with BA praising his “exceptional strike-zone awareness” and his overall hit tool. Jung trailed only Jarred Kelenic, Keibert Ruiz and Jo Adell in the rankings, and was ahead of such luminaries as Luis Campusano and Joey Bart, among others.
