The Texas Rangers have placed pitcher Josh Sborz on the 15 day injured list with a rotator cuff strain, the team announced today. The Rangers will make a corresponding move tomorrow to fill his spot on the active roster.
This move was expected after he departed yesterday’s game mid-batter. Sborz went on the injured list in early April with the same issue, and was activated on April 25 after spending just over 15 days on the i.l. However, after a solid first outing upon his return, he struggled his next two times out, not looking quite right.
