Keith Law’s prospect rankings are coming out this week, and Joe Palumbo is in today’s group of players who just missed the top 100, checking in at #105.
Palumbo, as you likely know if you read LSB at all, is one of the Texas Rangers’ more interesting player development success stories. The 24 year old was a 30th round pick in 2013, with Keith noting Palumbo was playing in a men’s baseball league in high school because his high school didn’t have a team. Palumbo appeared to be having a breakout 2017 campaign until, after three appearances, he was done for the year with Tommy John surgery.
