Joe Palumbo was expected to be in the Texas Rangers rotation a couple of turns ago, but has been sidelined with an ankle issue. He returned to the mound for Nashville tonight, going 2.2 IP and 37 pitches in what was, per Scott Lucas on Twitter, a planned abbreviated outing. He allowed a 2 run home run, walked a batter and struck out 5. My guess is that the next time he pitched it will be wearing a big league uniform.
Among the Nashville hitters, Eli White had 3 hits, and Nick Solak and Ronald Guzman each had a hit and a walk.
