ARLINGTON -- Barring any sudden reversal of fortune, Jeff Banister will hang up the worst Rangers season since Buck Showalter's first or Jerry Narron's last or Johnny Oates' last full season, anyway. This is not good company to keep.
And then there's the fact that no Rangers manager has ever put up back-to-back-to-back losing seasons.
Banister? He's at two and counting. And you can pretty much count on the Rangers losing next year, no matter who's managing.
The question is, will it still be Jeff Banister?
Going by the standards above, the answer is probably no.
