The Texas Rangers have announced a pair of minor league promotions today, with starting pitcher Jason Bahr moving from high-A Down East to AA Frisco, and first baseman Curtis Terry going from low-A Hickory to Down East.
Bahr, 24, is a righthander who was acquired as the bribe from the San Francisco Giants last summer in order for the Rangers to take the contracts of outfielder Austin Jackson and pitcher Cory Gearrin. He has a 1.71 ERA in 58 IP, with 58 Ks and 26 walks against 2 home runs.
