Isiah Kiner-Falefa leaves game with jammed finger

Texas Rangers catcher Isiah Kiner-Falefa was lifted from tonight’s game in the 8th inning due to a jammed right middle finger he suffered diving back into first base in the bottom of the 7th inning. He was replaced by Jeff Mathis.

This would appear to be a relatively minor issue, but it potentially complicates issues for the Rangers in their weekend series against Oakland. Texas doesn’t have another healthy catcher on the 40 man roster — Jose Trevino is currently on the AAA injured list — and they have a doubleheader on Saturday.
