ARLINGTON -- Instant replay and observations from the Rangers' 5-3 win against Seattle on Monday at Globe Life Park:

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Left-hander Cole Hamels won for the first time in four starts, allowing three runs in six innings. Matt Bush, pitching for the first time since Aug. 20, and Jake Diekman got the lead to Alex Claudio, who handled the ninth for his eighth save. Nomar Mazara and Shin-Soo Choo each drove in two runs with a double.

DUDE OF THE DAY: Jason Wood, manager at Triple-A Round Rock, filled in for Tony Beasley as third-base coach and was aggressive.
