The Texas Rangers have signed infielder Logan Forsythe to a minor league deal, the team announced today. Per Jon Heyman, Forsythe gets $2 million if he makes the major league team.
With Chase d’Arnaud and Christian Lopes both dealing with injuries, the Rangers are short on middle infield depth this spring, thus opening the door to Forsythe getting a look. Forsythe had a couple of very good seasons with the Rays in 2015-16, and was dealt to the Dodgers before the 2017 season for pitching prospect Jose DeLeon.
