Ian Kinsler has been traded from the Detroit Tigers to the Anaheim Angels, per multiple reports. The former Texas Ranger second baseman is in the final year of his contract, and with the Tigers rebuilding, he was being shopped to teams looking for a short term second base option. Coming back in the deal are pitcher Wilkel Hernandez and outfielder Troy Montgomery.
Kinsler, of course, had spent his entire career with the Rangers before being traded to the Tigers after the 2013 season for Prince Fielder. As a Kinsler fan for life, I'd have preferred he not get traded to the hated Angels, but then, I didn't want him traded in the first place.
