ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Each day now, it seems, the Rangers are reminded of their investment in Latin America in the summer of 2011. Nomar Mazara, the $5 million bonus baby, hit his 14th home run of the season Sunday in a 3-1 loss to Los Angeles. Ronald Guzman, who got a paltry $3.5 million by comparison, had the game-winning hit Saturday.
And each day it seems, the Rangers are also reminded of the failures of the 2011 draft.
If not, come this time of year, scouting director Kip Fagg reminds them.
"I go over it every year," Fagg said.
