Hunter Pence starts rehab assignment Monday

Hunter Pence, the Texas Rangers outfielder who is the starting DH for the 2019 MLB All Star Game for the American League team, will be playing for the Frisco Roughriders tonight as he begins a rehab assignment. Pence was placed on the injured list on June 17, a move that resulted in Willie Calhoun being activated from the injured list to take his place.

The plan appears to be for Pence to play in at least a couple of games for Frisco, and it seems likely he will be activated either Thursday or Friday.
