How the Rangers took the first baby steps in rebuilding their pitching rotation

ARLINGTON - Stay calm.

Do not jump to hasty conclusions.

Keep in mind these are the first baby steps in what will be a long and sometimes painful journey for the Rangers.

That said, the Rangers had a good night for their rebuilding pitching operation on Friday.

On the big stage of Globe Life Park, rookie right-hander Ariel Jurado got through five innings with his sinker in an 11-3 rout of Baltimore. Rougned Odor continued his rampage with a grand slam and is hitting .404 with five homers and a .827 slugging percentage for 56 at-bats since the All-Star break.
