Shin-Soo Choo could have a highlight day on Sunday.
Choo goes for a club record in the game against Detroit. Choo on Saturday reached base for the 45th consecutive game, tying the club record set by Julio Franco in 1993.
Choo faces a difficult task. He has never reached base in seven career plate appearances against Tigers starter Michael Fulmer.
After the game, Choo will learn if he has made an All-Star team for the first time.
“I’m not worried about any of it,’’ Choo said. “I’ll try to do my job, but the pitcher is tough.
