The first time Jose Canseco mentions Ivan Rodriguez in his 2005 baseball memoir "Juiced," is in the chapter entitled "My First Lamborghini."
In it, Canseco goes on and on about a Porsche 911 Turbo Slant Nose he once purchased as if it was the one true love of his life, only to end the story by saying he eventually sold it to Rodriguez.
If only it ended there.
It is what comes a bit later that may well sabotage Rodriguez's bid to become only the second catcher ever selected to the Hall of Fame on his first try.
