It was a big week for Rougned Odor. The 21-year-old second baseman for the Texas Rangers was named the American League's Player of the Week on Monday in recognition for a torrid stretch of hitting.
Odor batted .385 (10-for-26) with nine runs scored, three home runs, three doubles and eight RBIs in six games last week. He led all AL hitters in runs scored and finished second with a .923 slugging percentage last week, and he also tied for first in extra-base hits (seven).
Odor's biggest game came Wednesday, when he went 3-for-4 with a career-high four runs against Colorado.
