The Baseball Writers Association of America has released the ballot for the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame voting, so are doing polls on the players on the list.
Today is second baseman Ian Kinsler.
I’m pretty sure that, if you are reading this, you’re pretty familiar with Ian Kinsler.
17th round pick of the Texas Rangers in 2003 MLB Draft. Traded to the Colorado Rockies, along with Erik Thompson, in the summer of 2004 for Larry Walker, only to have Walker veto the deal. That was probably for the best.
Kinsler made it to the bigs in 2006 and had an eight year run as the Rangers’ starting second baseman, during which time he was consistently an All Star caliber player.
