SURPRISE, Ariz. - In the age of social media and, more importantly, social media marketing, the Rangers posted snippets of video to their Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts of players doing organized offseason workouts this winter.
One thing seemed to always stand out: Robinson Chirinos was front and center.
Not because he's a selfie lover. Rather it's because he's about as selfless as there is on this Rangers team. Chirinos was the unquestioned leader of the workouts and one who led by inclusion, a trait that serves a starting catcher well.
"He set the pace and the tone every day," Rangers strength and conditioning coach Jose Vazquez said Saturday.
