ARLINGTON - Adrian Beltre returned to the Rangers lineup Tuesday, just two weeks after suffering the fourth hamstring strain of his career.
Beltre, who suffered the injury four steps into running out what would have been a double on April 24, worked out on Tuesday afternoon and pronounced himself ready to go. The Rangers wasted no time in agreeing.
Beltre was hitting .310 at the time of the injury and was one of the few productive players in the lineup. He goes back into the No. 4 spot in the lineup and will be sandwiched between hot-hitting Nomar Mazara and homer-hitting Joey Gallo.
