Hans Crouse took the mound for Hickory today in his second start since coming off the injured list, and once again had a solid outing for the Crawdads. Crouse, who is limiting how many sliders he throws due to bone spurs which will be surgically removed after the season, needed just 44 pitches to throw 4 shutout innings, allowing 4 hits, striking out 1 and walking no one. He now has a 2.82 ERA on the season.
For the Hickory hitters, Kole Enright had two hits, including a home run, Tyreque Reed had a home run, Sherten Apostel had a hit, and Jonathan Ornelas had a hit and a walk.
