NEW YORK -- Rangers manager Jeff Banister has a plan ready for outfielder Josh Hamilton when he joins the team in Cleveland on Monday.
"Shake his hand, say hello, make sure he is in a batting practice group, put him in the lineup, sit back and watch him play," Banister said.
Hamilton will be in left field, Banister said. The manager hasn't decided where he'll hit in the lineup, but the No. 5 spot appears likely behind Prince Fielder and Adrian Beltre. The No. 2 spot is also being given consideration.
"I have written a number of lineups down, but I haven't decided where we are going to hit him," Banister said.
