Ronald Guzman got his first major league start in left field today for the Texas Rangers, but his day was cut short when he pulled up pursuing a pop fly due to an apparent leg injury. Guzman was taken off the field in a wheelchair and replaced by Eli White.
With Nate Lowe taking over as the regular first baseman, Guzman had been asked to work in the corner outfield spots to improve his versatility. David Dahl is the DH today due to a leg issue, so Guzman got the nod in left. It appears likely he will now be injured list bound.
