SEATTLE -- From the Bureau of Useless and Important Information, we bring you this advisory:
The Rangers are the only major league team to open the season with games scheduled every day for the first two weeks without a day off.
It is only the third time in the team's history for such a rigorous out-of-the-gate schedule. In other words, it's kind of a lot.
As much as anything, it helps explain what took place in Seattle on Wednesday afternoon in a sloppy 4-2, 10-inning loss on the season's 10th day.
Despite the sloppiness, the Rangers finished the road trip 4-3, splitting a four-game series at the Los Angeles Angels and winning the first two in Seattle.
