ARLINGTON - A month ago, Rangers pitching coach Doug Brocail got a text from his daughter, Madison, reminding him of how fortunate they are to still have each other 10 years after a “widow-maker” heart attack was caught perhaps only days or hours before it struck.
Come Monday, he’ll probably get another one.
Not because he didn’t respond to the first text, but because there are two separate anniversaries.
“I could have easily gone to sleep at any point in the next few days around those incidents and not woken up,” Brocail said Tuesday.
