Glasnow sidelined with flexor strain, UCL tear

Tyler Glasnow has a flexor tendon strain and a partially torn UCL, causing the Tampa Bay Rays to put him on the injured list, per multiple reports. Glasnow will attempt rest and rehab rather than surgical intervention at this time.

Glasnow, 27, has had a breakout year for the Rays, putting up a 2.66 ERA and 2.75 FIP in 88 innings over 14 starts so far this year. His 123 strikeouts on the year are second in the American League. His performance has been a significant factor in the Rays having the best record in baseball currently.
