Gallo hits 2nd HR; Hamels dinged early in debut

GLENDALE -- Yasiel Puig slugged a pair of two-run homers, Franklin Gutierrez crushed one and Logan Forsythe had three hits Friday night as the Dodgers coasted to a 12-2 rout over the Rangers, whose starting pitcher, Cole Hamels, didn't get out of the first inning.

Puig's first home run to left field was his second Cactus League blast, and Gutierrez's opposite-field liner to right field was his first hit after opening Spring Training with an 0-for-19 drought.

Hamels served up homers to Puig and Gutierrez, as well as a double off the wall by Forsythe and two walks before he was relieved by Anthony Carter, having thrown 24 pitches and retired one batter.
