ARLINGTON -- Rangers outfielder Joey Gallo left Sunday's game in the eighth inning with a sprained left ankle. The Rangers were concerned enough about the injury that outfielder Scott Heineman was taken out of Triple-A Round Rock's game on Sunday afternoon in case he is needed at the Major League level.

Gallo injured the ankle landing on first base wrong while trying to beat out an infield hit in the sixth inning. Gallo, starting in right field, played the field in the seventh but was replaced by Ryan Rua in the eighth.
