FRISCO - Double-A Frisco owner Chuck Greenberg said he believes the team is 2-3 weeks away from formally announcing construction on a 200-foot "lazy river" that will replace the pool as a "signature element" in right field at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
The hope is that construction will be completed by mid-season. Greenberg said the tentative plan is to rent the river out to groups on most nights, but Thursday home games would be reserved to sell individual lazy river tickets.
It is believed that it would be the first stadium in the U.S. to include a lazy river element.
