SAN ANTONIO -- Tom Wilhelmsen, a newcomer to the Rangers' bullpen, has led an unconventional baseball life. Suspended for marijuana use. More than four years away from the game, searching for what it all means while working in a bar and backpacking across Europe.

Not everyone can see through the antics and spot the redeeming traits of fellow reliever Fernando Rodney.
