Fraley: How Dyson, Rangers' ground-ball machine, plans to handle high-stress situations post Bautista bat flip

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Five months later, Rangers reliever Sam Dyson continues to process the Jose Bautista game-winning homer and bat flip heard 'round the world in last year's AL Division Series.

"I don't know how to answer that," said Dyson, who worked a scoreless inning against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, when asked if he has moved beyond the homer. "I'm sure it's buried somewhere."

How deeply?

Bautista's tie-breaking homer in the chaotic seventh inning gave Toronto a 6-3 win in the ALDS finale. The inning went against everything Dyson had done for the Rangers since being acquired from Miami on July 31.
