Fraley: Another failure for Shawn Tolleson casts doubt on his standing as Rangers closer

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Texas Rangers closer -- for now -- Shawn Tolleson had another blown save opportunity on Tuesday night.

This one rocked the Rangers to their core.

Tolleson gave up Khris Davis' third homer, a two-out ninth-inning grand slam, for an 8-5 loss to Oakland at the Coliseum. It was Tolleson's third blown save in his last five chances.

The circumstances made this ending pure agony for Rangers, who have six road losses on an opponent's last swing. They had gone ahead at 5-4 in the inning on a two-out, two-run homer by Ian Desmond against previously perfect Oakland closer Ryan Madson.
