NEW YORK -- Texas first baseman Trever Adams, Toronto right-hander Andrew Case, Cleveland right-hander Jordan Dunatov and free agent right-hander Dan Urbina have been suspended for 50 games each for violations of baseball's minor league drug program.
Adams tested positive for an amphetamine, a banned stimulant, and Dunatov and Urbina had second positive tests for a drug of abuse. Case was penalized for failing to take a drug test, the commissioner's office said Monday.
Adams, a 27-year-old on the roster of Double-A Frisco, hit .227 with 10 homers and 42 RBI in 119 games last year at Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock.
