The Texas Rangers announced today that infielder Justin Foscue and righthanded pitchers Emiliano Teodo and Luis Curvelo have been optioned to AAA Round Rock.
All three players were expected to start the season in the minors. Foscue spent some time in the majors last year but was 0 for his last 37, and I have to think the Rangers want him to spend some time in AAA and get some confidence back and on a groove. The Rangers could use a righthanded bench bat, but the need is more for an outfielder than an infielder, and Foscue is behind Ezequiel Duran in the RH IF pecking order.
