The Texas Rangers have recalled Justin Foscue to fill the roster spot that opened up when Robbie Grossman was claimed on waivers by the Kansas City Royals, the team announced today. In addition, the Rangers purchased the contract of pitcher Chase Anderson from AAA Round Rock, filling the 40 man roster spot vacated by Grossman. To make room for Anderson on the active roster, the Rangers optioned pitcher Dane Dunning to AAA Round Rock.
The addition of Foscue was expected, and had Grossman not been claimed, he likely would have been promoted tomorrow when rosters expand.
