The Anaheim Angels’ general manager search has apparently resulted in Atlanta Braves senior VP of baseball operations and assistant general manager Perry Minasian becoming the front runner for the job, per multiple reports.
Minasian, interestingly, has some old, old school family ties...the 40 year old is the son of Zack Minasian, who was a longtime clubhouse manager for the Texas Rangers, and Perry worked as a batboy and as an assistant to his dad in the clubhouse before eventually becoming a scout for the Rangers. Minasian was brought to Toronto by then Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopolous in 2009, and in 2010 was promoted to be the director of pro scouting.
