Eric Kay, formerly an employee of the Los Angeles Angels, has been indicated by a Fort Worth grand jury on charges connected with the July 1, 2019, death of Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs, per multiple reports.
Skaggs, in the Metroplex with the Angels for a series the team was playing against the Texas Rangers, was found dead in a hotel room in Southlake, Texas, on that day. Two months later a determination was made that Skaggs had died of a fentanyl overdose. Kay was later arrested, and reports indicated that he was alleged to have supplied opiates to numerous players, including Skaggs, over the years.
