HOUSTON - His voice may say “yes, yes, yes,” but his lineups seem to suggest something different.
Though Rangers manager Chris Woodward maintains Nomar Mazara and Ronald Guzman are starters are at their respective positions, there has been a definite change in playing time. On Saturday, Guzman got his first start of the week, while Mazara sat for the third time in the Rangers’ eight games since the All-Star break. Meanwhile, red hot Danny Santana started for the seventh time in the last eight games.
The change is particularly noticeable in the case of Mazara, who started 78 of the Rangers’ 90 games before the All-Star break.
