Jack Flaherty and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to terms on a two year, $35 million deal with an opt out after year one, per multiple reports.
Flaherty, a righthanded starting pitcher who had spent his entire career with the St. Louis Cardinals before being dealt to the Baltimore Orioles at the 2023 trade deadline, signed a one year deal with Detroit last offseason coming off a disappointing year. Flaherty was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the deadline, and ended up starting five playoff games for L.A., but he allowed 18 runs in 22 postseason innings.
