Five spring training position battles that matter for Texas Rangers

The Rangers begin spring training with relatively few spots on the roster seemingly up for grabs. That's good. It means the roster is basically stable. And it doesn't put the club in the position of having to try to do too much evaluating in spring training, which truth be told, is not a good or true environment for getting a feel for players, but don't get me started on how I feel about the current structure of spring training.
