Fister (hip), Odor (hamstring) placed on DL

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers placed pitcher Doug Fister and infielder Rougned Odor on the disabled list on Tuesday, activated reliever Tony Barnette and called up infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa.

Odor is expected to be sidelined three weeks with a strained left hamstring. Fister is sidelined with a strained right hip muscle and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.

Fister will likely be replaced in the rotation by Bartolo Colon, who will start on Sunday against the Astros. Jurickson Profar will be the Rangers' second baseman in Odor's absence while Kiner-Falefa will serve in a utility role.
