Even against lowly Tampa Bay, Rangers can't find a way to convert their best chances on offense

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Of all the bad things that have happened to the Rangers in the first 20 games of the season, this may be the worst all.

They lost a series to stripped-down Tampa Bay.

The Rangers dropped the three-game series with a 4-2 loss at Tropicana Field on Wednesday. They joined the Chicago White Sox as the only teams that have lost series to the Rays, who are 5-13 overall.

The Rangers are 7-13, matching the third-worst start in club history. In 2015, the Rangers came back to win the American League West after a 7-13 start.
