Eric Gagne in, Russell Wilson out as part of moves announced today

The Texas Rangers announced some moves today with their coaching and scouting staffs, as well as making a minor trade involving a football player.

On the football front, the Rangers traded Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson to the New York Yankees for future considerations. Wilson was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2010 and played in their system for a couple of years before focusing entirely on football — a decision which appears to have been the correct one. Texas drafted him from Colorado in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft a couple of years ago and had him come to spring training and talk a couple of times.
