The Texas Ranger have activated pitcher Nathan Eovaldi and outfielder Wyatt Langford from the injured list, it was announced today. Evan Carter is going on the 10 day injured list with lower back tightness and Yerry Rodriguez has been optioned to AAA Round Rock.
Eovaldi’s return seemed imminent, and I thought he might start on Sunday, though the Rangers instead went with Gerson Garabito in his major league debut. Instead, he’s starting against the Diamondbacks tonight. It was up in the air as to whether Eovaldi would make a rehab appearance or not, and it appears “not” won out.
